The members of the United States Coast Guard (USCG) were called by a concerned person who saw three surfers who were pushed by the strong currents against the rocks at Agate Beach Oregon on Sunday afternoon.
The USCG officials sent a MH 65 helicopter from Newport to rescue the three surfers from the rocks to the shore when the firefighters from Newport took care of them.
The condition of the three surfers was not mentioned. The USCG officials did an outstanding job saving the lives of the surfers as well as anyone who needs their assistance.

@rakski That is true since surfing in rough seas is not safe for any surfer to be on.

It's always heartening to hear stories of brave men and women who put themselves in harm's way to protect and save the lives of others. In this case, the members of the United States Coast Guard demonstrated their professionalism and expertise in responding to the call for help at Agate Beach, Oregon.
While we don't know the condition of the three surfers at this time, we can take comfort in the knowledge that they received prompt and effective care from the firefighters in Newport. We owe a debt of gratitude to all those who serve in the USCG and other emergency services, who put their lives on the line to keep us safe.

Glad they got rescued. I have only seen surfing in movies and on video and I think it is a crazy thing. I could never take up surfing.
