I Just Laughed

People can be interesting. I mean, don't get me wrong, we all get a bit unnerved or irritated by other drivers on the road. People sometimes do stupid things. Sometimes it is just because they are stupid, and other times it is just unfamiliar territory or you just make a simple mistake.
I really have no idea what I did, actually.
But the guy was fit to be tied. I don't know what gave it away for me. Was it the thirty second horn? The fact that he rolled the window down and shouted multiple profanities at me? I think he might own a pet store because he waved at least five birds at me when he was shouting.
I just gave him a physical shoulder shrug emoticon and smiled.
Clearly he was having a rough day. There's snow on the ground and he's probably not happy about it. Maybe he's broke and has a crappy job? Maybe he hasn't been laid in months and his best friend has five fingers?
Hell if I know.
Whatever it was, there is one thing I know for sure on my end. It was no sweat off my back and I just laughed about it.
Enjoy your crappy day Pah'dna. You are no one remotely important to me and I could not have cared less about your thoughts at that particular moment. Carry on soldier. Your little grief and tantrum had no impact on me whatsoever. But his day might definitely be sealed as ruined.
Life is funny sometimes.

A-holes routinely try to run my little car off the road on a regular basis. One sewer pumping company made it like a team mission. A-holes in F-150s can be regularly counted on trying to run me off of the road. They regularly race me to take over the lane or get in front of me when a lanes merge. NJ drivers in general are jerks but many people go out of their way to try to run me off of the road. It is nuts.

Do you have a "Teacher" sign or license plate? Some people carry a grudge. I keep and eye out for my 8th grade science teacher from Texas and if I ever see her...

I made a goof this morning going to one of my doctors in Springfield. I've been there a hundred times and still got into the wrong lane coming off the Interstate. *sigh* I got several horn honks when I changed lanes at nearly the last second. (I had looked to make sure I wasn't going to clip anyone or cut off someone driving too fast to let me in the correct lane.)
I just shrugged and kept driving. Things happen.

I like your attitude; not affected by other people's behavior.

Glad you have that attitude ..it can defuse a situation or ignite it.
In the USA, one never knows what a time bomb like that is going to do sadly.

I think it's funny too, watching these road rage drivers go absolutely nuts over the littlest things. It's especially funny when they're the guilty ones messing up in traffic and somebody else honks their horn at them to call them out on their infraction or driving behavior. And I guess they don't like that, because those are the drivers who seem to get the angriest. "How dare you honk at me because the light turned green 30 seconds ago and I haven't moved because I'm too busy texting on my phone to pay attention to the light!" And then somehow, you--the innocent one--become the A-hole in the situation.

Whenever people cut us off in traffic or like in the parking lot we always roll the window down and tell them to have a great day. lol, it confuses them so much.

As long as he doesn't put other drivers at risk, I don't mind, especially if someone you don't know suddenly says something unpleasant, that's okay.
