Going to a concert tonight

I am going to a concert tonight, with my dad, at the local casino here. The band is called Our Lady Peace. They are pretty famous in Canada, not as much in the US and internationally, but they are one of my favourite bands, and I am looking very forward to seeing them tonight. I believe this will be my 7th time seeing them (or maybe 6th) and the last time I went to a concert was in September, and before that it was before Covid. Do you like to see live music?

Their song 'Somewhere Out There' became a hit in the Philippines when it was released. I used to hear it a lot on the radio. Enjoy your time at the concert with your dad.

@dilleo Oh no, You have years to enjoy concerts. The problem is you don't enjoy them as much as you get older.

I am glad you can go back to live concert. I know many missed this because of Covid. I prefer to listen to music in my home.

@dilleo - Of course, I have never been a big fan of live concert even when I was young. I do not like crowds and I hate loud noises.

Thank you, Anna. Yes, this is true. I also like to listen to music at home, I do that a lot with Spotify and the such. But, fair enough, and to each their own of course

@LadyDuck Oh yes, truthfully those things can bother me at times as well. Especially, when I first get to a concert, but usually I get over that fear and start to enjoy myself and settle in.

I do but I'm not keen on the huge concerts with thousands of people. We haven't been out in crowds much since before covid.

Fair enough. I am kind of like that too, at times. Usually, when I first get to a concert, I get overwhelmed by the amount of people. This was the case last night too, the venue had about 5000 people. Yeah, covid has put a damper on things. But also, it makes a lot of sense to stay away from people/crowds because of the risk of getting covid too.

I haven't heard this band, i hope you enjoy yourself. Seeing Live is sooo much better than just hearing the music via radio.

I used to attend live concerts fairly often. It has been awhile. My last one was Don Henley (from The Eagles). Excellent concert. Hope you enjoyed yours.
