So, hubby made me go to urgent care this morning. I was trying to hold off because I have an appointment with my regular doctor on Monday, when school is out.
All around the outside of my ear, the glands, the cartilage, etc. Have been very painful. I have gone to bed extra early for two nights. I was supposing I had an ear infection.
No, I have an infection of my salivary glands on the right side. My ear actually looks good, both of them. My throat looks normal.
We went to Urgent Care and then to our pharmacy for some nasty meds. I have been asleep and sweating like a pig. I like that better than chilling though. But no, no fever.
I will keep my followup with my primary care on Monday. It is supposed to be my diabetic check, but this will be included too.
So I am still in the land of the living, and I will look around here for a while.

I would say I am 90% better as long as I do not catch anything else at school.

@much2say The biggy in our school right now is stomach flu. I had a mild version of it, so I hope I am good to go.

@GardenGerty I know you can catch anything at school. My kids are still wearing masks, and they are telling me everyone around them is sick

It's good that he did make you go. Infections can turn quickly and the sooner you can get antibiotics on board, the better.

Wonder if it is a tooth that may be causing the salivary glands to swell Heather.
In any case, please get well, so sorry..this sounds miserable.

I might be suffering from tonsil inflammation which causes ear pain too. A good medicine specialist can diagnose it.
