Maid giving problem

I am staying with my landlord who had stroke, diabetes and high blood pressure. He depends EVERYTHING on his filipino maid. Hence the maid calls the shot in the household. Initially the maid wants ne to move out because she keeps telling me this cannot, that cannot, i tried to follow but keeps giving me one after another problem. I say ok, i will move out by the end of this month. Last week, she said she wanted me to stay but i cannot wash clothes. Have to use coin laundry service. I am ok with that. This week, she says she wanted me to pay her money for washing my clothes ! All these problems , my landlord supported her which i really do not understand at all. Isnt it that washing clothes is inclusive with room rental ? What would you do ?

What are you to the landlord? If you're just renting a room, I'd move out and be done with the maid. Let her have the home and the landlord.

@peachpurple Sorry to hear that. Yup, with now most things are back face to face, some people like students need rental house or rooms, and yup, it will have problems with tenancy sometimes. If you need someone to listen to, I am here. I will be your ear.

It seems troublesome. Anyway, I would move out since it is the same for me to rent a room. I can rent a room anywhere, and hopefully it can be peaceful.

Hmm if she is doing your laundry I can see maybe paying her but if you don’t want to them just go to the laundrymat and say the heck with her!

@peachpurple wow $9 per load to wash and dry the clothes? That is a lot! I have my own washer and dryer thankfully because laundry mats are so expensive

I did asked her how many times she will be washing my laundry per week but she kept beating around the bush. If i use that coin laundry machine, it will cost me $9 per waah including drying. Once a week is enough for me

I would move. It's way too much drama to stay there. Good luck.

You should move out unless there is more to the story.

No story behind. Except that she wanted money because the landlord cannot afford to increase her salary.
