I Don't Like Salt

Okay, so...I do enjoy salt
But I don't like salting things
I was having a conversation with a friend and immediately felt judge because of the way I eat things.
They asked me what I was having for dinner, which, doesn't seem bad, but this person goes through an entire interrogation when it comes to food, like pretty much like How long have you known this chicken, did you know its mother, what freaking farm did this chicken come from. Basically like that
So, I had chicken for dinner and they asked if it was fried or rottisered and I'm like..is that the only kind of chicken there is? Because we just like...cook it on the stovetop with water. I don't know what kind of cooking that is called, but that is what we do.
And then they asked the seasonings and I'm just like, I dunno Italian seasonings
And then they say, that sounds like it would be bland, did you salt it?
This is where is all went down
I said that I don't salt my food
Like, if a recipe uses salt, yes, that is when I use salt! But, I don't like adding more salt after the food is cooked unless it needs it. I just don't care to do that
and that is when this friend is like, "wow, you are so white."
Bruh...I like seasonings, pretty sure white people really really enjoy SALT
So they go, "then you are whiter than white"
I...I didn't know being Caucasian was going to be such a problem when it comes to my pallet. I mean, yeah I look like a dead fish because of my skin color, but my skin color doesn't define my pallet. I like spicy stuff, I like seasonings, I just don't like ADDING salt to my food!
This is something that shouldn't have irritated me, but it did perturb me a bit, because it seems like everything I do to this person, it has to be judged one way or another, like whether it is how much I work, what I eat, how I eat something, how I sit, just everything.
And this is why I don't talk to this person that much anymore, I still like some of the conversations we have, but when it comes to things like this, oof, I just want the conversation to end as soon as possible.

I wish I had your healthy diet of not eating salt. Do you know how healthy that makes you? Read any diet book or talk to a weight loss coach. Ask anyone who has lost weight or is trying to lose weight, and the first thing they will tell you to do is cut back or completely cut out the salt. The doctor will tell you that! Bless you.
I don't know what the color of your skin has to do with you not using salt, but I do know you are doing your body a great service. Keep it up.

Some people can be very nosy and judgemental. I don't think anyone really needs friends like that. Or else you just try to keep away from controversial subjects.

We put salt while cooking - whether it's chicken, pork, fish, veggies. We do have a dish boiled/stewed in water called tinolang manok (chicken in ginger broth). Of course, it has other ingredients.
What we do add when we're already eating are other condiments or dips like fish sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup, calamansi (citrus), etc., depending on the dish, but not salt.
So how long have you been friends with this person?

It bothers me when persons that I talk to a personal basis paint my image as odd since I like classic programs and not used to the salty language on commercial television show.
