Geauga County deputy saves the life of a fellow officer who was choking on food

Geauga County Corrections Officer Scott Tyler is very grateful that his fellow deputy Michael Scarniench was at the right place at the right time on Wednesday when his Officer Tyler was choking on a steak during lunch at their workplace. Officer Tyler asked for help from his choking problem eating the steak when Officer Scarniech who was nearby used the Heimlich maneuver to remove the steak from the mouth of Officer Tyler. Geauga County Sheriff Scott Hildenbrand rewarded Officer Scarniech with a certificate for his act of saving the life of a fellow officer. What is amazing of this story is that both deputies remained calm during the near death experience not to mention that both deputies have been trained to use their life saving skills to good use.
