Eating clean for 2023

It feels like its been forever since I made a food post. As a foodie here's a post about last nights delicious dinner. I have been trying to eat better and cut down on red meats and adding more greens to my diet. I had my annual check up and the Doctor said everything was fine but my cholesterol was a bit high so I'm going to try and stay away from fried foods and greasy stuff until my next follow up in 4 months. Any foods you know that help lower cholesterol, feel free to share!

I still can't figure much of what is eating clean. As far as I know, eating clean is not eating junk food.

Eating clean to me is taying away from fried foods, candy, soda , chocolate. Picking and choosing between pizza and a homemade pasta lol

@BACONSTRIPSXXX @Fleura Oops. Then, I have failed from the beginning because I love chocolate I tend to eat veggies in most days. But I can't help but reaching out for chocolates when I am anxious or having a pms or actual period week. I don't want to go for vitamins or medicines in most times because I heard keep eating medicine and vitamin is not good for the kidney.

As the doctor also said to my husband that his cholesterol is a bit too high, I checked which foods are good to lower cholesterol. Here some: Oat Walnuts, almonds, pecans Apples Olive oil red beans Salmon All good stuff.

Oats are one of the best foods for cholesterol, apparently. It has been said that if everyone ate porridge for breakfast, there would be no need to prescribe statins.
