It's been a year now since I have been in the Visayas. I am longing for its pristine beaches and simple lifestyle. I hope can be able to go back if I would given a chance.
BTW, the name of the beach on the above photo is Paliton Beach. This is the main attraction in Siquijor aside from the Balete Tree, old churches and the rivers.
Siquijor is an interesting place not because of its rich history and natural resources BUT because it is known for witchcraft and voodoos.
My grandpa used to say that the strongest witch in the Philippines has lived in Siquijor (I am not sure if he's tryna scare us or something). Others said the locals intentionally spread this witchcraft story to protect their island from outside people.
Have you heard this story before? Do you believe in witchcraft?

I agree! :) My father is from Visayas and my mom is from Mindanao though. They said that nothing compares to the South's beaches and all other natural sites :)

I've heard of that story and has created a sort of an stigma of being scared of people coming from that place.

Your photo looks beautiful! I can see why people would want to go there.
No, I don't believe in witchcraft but I think there are things in this world that science hasn't explained yet.
