Stress Test Cancelled.

Hello. The cardiologist canceled my husband's Treadmill Stress Test yesterday afternoon. He canceled it because the 24-hour BP monitoring reading was consistently high. The doctor gave him additional medicine for now and they will re-schedule the stress test. The doctor also said that he planned to change his maintenance medications next week. He is still waiting for the full result of the BP monitoring test. So we have to wait for a week for the new sets of medicine. Also, he ordered my husband to take a few days rest still.

I did a stress test a few months ago. It was a lot of fun. I had to run on a treadmill until my heartbeat reached a certain level and then keep running for five minutes so the doctor got a good reading of my heart from the monitors hooked up to my chest and back. I hope your hubby does okay and the doctor give him the correct meds he needs. Good luck!

@rakski Taking a stress test isn't something you "try". It's something your doctor orders you to do. Good luck!

It’s kind of ironic that they would actually add more stress before a stress test. Do they get paid more this way?

Too bad that he couldn't have his test yesterday. So the medicine that he has drunk didn't give any progress?

Those stress tests are killers! I'm a walker and very active, but I found it difficult. I hope everything goes well for your husband. High blood pressure is not good, as you must know.
