I have account in bank. It is just one street near me but there is always a rush. Only office in 30km circle. I have their online banking app on old phone. Since I changed phone, now I must go in bank again so they can activate it again. There are steps how to do it without visiting bank but it doesn't work. From error message it is not my fault, than app. Why they don't make it somehow easier? Phone number, fingerprint? I know it is money related and app should be safe but I now I must go again in bank.

Its not just bank apps, anytime you change a phone or laptop, desktops, companies go crazy. It takes like 2 years before they go, oh now we recognize this device and by then you are ready to buy a new one. Repeat process again.
I freaking hate it. Here is my email, it never changes, yet they do make it so complicated when it does not need to be. Just use my email, no we need phone and IP address, imagine if you move and IP address changes. Places be like we need birth certificate, fingerprints, facial scan, hair sample, mouth swab. OK I guess it is you. Computers seem to make things harder not easier.

@mrki444 Its all about the profit, they need all your details, they do not but in their mind they do. They want to know everything about you so they can maximize the profit off the next gimmick. Capitalism came to fame in 1700's and pretty sure it was not made for what we can do now if we being true to the inventor that made it go who even gave warnings if you abuse it, you will have problems. Adam Smith.

That's why I don't use online banking apps. They're too much trouble and are dangerous as well. But a reliable bank would be good. But the risk is too much.
I would rather walk or commute to the bank or the ATM for my transactions. It's safer and speedier in the long run. Online apps are also unreliable at times, including their answering services, and so forth.

I hope when you go to the bank you will be able to figure everything out.
