When I came home

Bob had a nice piece of apple cake and a cup of coffee waiting for me. I had asked him how he would feel if I worked all day Thursday. He said to go ahead as it would give him the chance to try out this new recipe. We had a nice frozen pizza with some extra embellishments, and the bean salad and another piece of apple cake for dessert. It was a nice day. However, at school, a sick child sat in my lap. I hope I do not get it.

It's always so nice to know someone cares enough to make something special for us after a long day at work. I hope you don't catch anything ... Good luck!

When we met through a newspaper he said he was looking for someone to cook for. This was a Thursday post, Friday the teacher's little girl was sick, so she was out and then another little girl in our class sat down in the middle of the floor and puked. Custodians said that was the third one and that was before 9 a.m.

@GardenGerty Oh, wow! I found both my wives by offering to cook dinner for them. Neither of my marriages worked out, though. I'm glad yours did. I'm glad you didn't catch whatever the kids had. (It kind of sounds like flu but I can't be sure of that.) I hate to be the custodian. I cleaned up when Pretty got sick but I was just as likely to throw up afterward as not.

@DaddyEvil I thought her one on one para might. That poor girl is trying to stay well enough to have gall bladder surgery. Two or three things are running through the school I know this stomach virus is brutal for most people. I had it a couple of weeks ago but for me it was mild.

Oh gosh I hope you don’t catch it either. How nice Bob had a piece of cake and coffee waiting for you. I love trying new recipes and can’t wait until our propane is delivered Monday to make some new things.

Sorry that the sick child sat in your lap. What in the world was the child doing at school? No wonder sickness keeps spreading. Glad Bob was able to make something new. Mike's mom makes a delicious apple cake. Have a wonderful weekend.

He was sick last weekend and Mom kept him home. We had an extra day off Monday. Mom kept him home just in case on Tuesday. He may have caught the next bug that is going around. If she had known he was sick he would not have been there.

I don't know, if this is something you might try. I think, it did help me many time's when I worked in the school system in the past. I would take this daily. Airborne and it was made by a teacher. It just helps build up your immune system so you can fight off colds and such! As for having a nice day that is something I always hope for each day. Just a nice dinner with my other half or a nice friend. Someone I enjoy their company. Glad to hear and to have a cook is only icing on the cake. LOL

I take many of the supplements that are in Airborne. I used lavender oil in my masks and never got covid until after we all quit taking precautions and then it was really mild..

Chicken soup and Zicam! Apple cake and coffee probably helps, too. They say “an apple a day keeps the doctor away,” but there’s no stipulation on HOW to eat the apple.

I take zinc and Vitamin D. When I felt bad the last time I did do chicken soup. My particular student has been coughing a really croupy cough since just before Valentine's Day, but I have not gotten that.

He has been pretty sick and seemed to be well enough to come back to school. The poor kids seem to really be suffering.

Oh gosh. They say those who work in schools are at risk of catching all sorts of things from the kids. I wonder what new recipe Bob will come up with.

It takes some time to build up immunity to all the things that the kids have.

The next day a different child sat down in the floor and threw up! I will survive, on coffee and apple cake.
