We are not big on Holidays here. Just to much trouble. The kids are all grown now. So, it's really just us. I pick something I want, he picks something he wants. Then, we get if for each other. Done! LOL We work, come home, eat dinner, sleep. That is our way. He has his computer, I have mine. We don't really talk much or anything. But, we are alright with it, most times. I know, that sounds crazy. Yet, we already know everything we need to know about each other. We talk if we go out places which is only on weekends. No place fancy or special. Store for groceries, maybe Pick N Pull being he is a mechanic and he needs a car part or two... Other then that Same old daily routine... What is your day like? Would this bore you or make you happy??? Please, let me know what would you do different if this was your daily routine... Be happy make changes in your life only if you want too...

Maybe we're strange, but we've been married 56 years and we're still learning new things about each other. One of the best things we did about eight years ago was to build a small screened in shack in the back yard. We put in a double bed that reclines and a little fridge. We have a large fire pit and on warm nights we sit out there, watch the fire and just talk. You have to stay connected or you'll grow apart.

Where do you live? In Missouri it is hard to do the outdoors. It seems like every day is different weather. We would have to have a screen but that we can close up for rain, snow, wind. That would be our house. LOL So, right back where we started from... But, that does sound nice... Enjoy your happiness for us too...

My hubby and I have been partners for over 40 years- time just flies! We both write so we share that and just talk and watch silly things on you tube. Sometimes in the summer we go on trips. He's been sick for a while so we are really appreciating each other even more.

Well, I hope he get's better soon. I wish my guy was a talker or writer. I was a writer before kids then, stopped when I had to raise them. Now, that they are out of the house grown, I want to go back. I guess MyLot is my way of doing just that. Not, the same but I'm happy for now. And, time does fly but, it sure is fun with a great partner... Enjoy the little things in life, they make all the difference...

@Carpathian Sylvia Plath. What a legend. Supposedly up at God Knows When so that she could write before the kids got up. I sneak in writing when I can.

We are retired and no kids left at home. So we go on two 30 minutes walks every day. Than we do what ever we want for the rest of the day., We each have our own lap top and a desk top that I use to list items on ebay, facebook and next door. If we decide we want to go somewhere for the weekend we ask the teen across the street to come in and feed the cats. And than we just go.

That sounds great. We have talked about traveling or even moving to better weather area so that we can walk and do more outside stuff. I am hoping that we can travel some but the problem is having the money to do that. Things cost more then they did when we started planning... Enjoy your retirement it sounds wonderful...
