Do cats love chicks?

I thought earlier that a cat would eat up chicks. I saw some videos in which a cat is very friendly with chicks, allows them to come very close to her and even peck her. I find this very surprising. Have you seen this in real life?

Cats eat chicken meat, but they play with chicks. I remember the cat of my grandmother playing with the chicks.
