My Thoughtful Husband

I have been kind of stressed (emotionally) lately. I am physically and emotionally exhausted. There are friends and family and little kids that I have been constantly and fervently praying and it has, literally, fatigued me. Work and ministry has kept me non-stop busy. My husband has faced the same challenges, yet, he doesn't think about himself; he thinks about me. Yesterday he drove us to the beach for a weekend rest. Thursday night he made reservations at a really nice restaurant for us. I have wanted to try this restaurant for years but we could never afford it. The Lord made it possible for us to eat there Thursday night. The food was really good. The ambiance of the place was even better. The service was good. We both had steak and shrimp, one of our favorite meals. As thankful as I am for the opportunity to eat at this nice restaurant, I am even more thankful for the man with which God blessed me.

Sounds like he is applying the counsel in Ephesians 5 'In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. A man who loves his wife loves himself...' In today's world - precious

Nothing beats having a loving husband. Life will be a little better and you are able to handle stress with such a supportive husband. Is that picture of you meal?

Yes, that is the food we ate. The only difference was he had grilled shrimp where mine was fried.

Your husband is so sweet. May his tribe increase and may all husbands be like him. Mine is also sweet but he is now assigned to another area, so we see each other only twice a month. It's good you enjoyed the food and the ambiance. Please tell your husband I appreciate him, and I'm sure more wives would do as well.

What a very kind husband you have. It does help to do something a bit special when life is getting tough.
