How the Video Changed the Meaning of a Song

When the song "Take a Drunk Girl Home" sung by Chris Jansen first came out, it became an instant favorite of mine.
I had been listening to the song for quite a while. It came out in late 2017. I didn't watch the video until just a few weeks ago. The official music video made much more of a statement than I'd ever gotten from listening to the song.
Because of the sensitive and possibly upsetting nature of the Official Music Video from Warner Brothers, I have chosen to post the solo piano live version here.
Has your perspective on a song ever been changed by watching the video and realizing there was more to the story as shown than just what you'd heard?

I have listened to many songs and then seen the videos for the songs and I have to say that at times the videos seemed not to agree at all with what the song was supposedly all about.

The video for this song does agree with the music, and then some. The vid brings to light some of the reasons the "drunk girl" might have been attracted to the "wrong" kind of guy and, why, the hero of the story is the guy who took her home and let her sleep all alone.

I remember the video of the song "The Wanderer" sung by the late Donna Summer which was a lot different that the audio version she Donna dressed a lot like her character on the cover of the compact disc.
