California is having snow days.

A co.d winter storm has gone through North CA and snow is at lower levels than usual. Some communities haven't seen snow in a decade. The east foothills and the Santa Cruz mountains have a lot of snow. Mount Hamilton is covered with snow. Mount Umunhum has some snow on it. For a while Highway 17 was closed due to snowy conditions. It is open now. There are a lot of peop.e out in the snow, building snowmen and throwing snowballs. The storm will pass to Southern California today.

Good! I put in the order for snow in California! @TheHorse has been talking about missing snow so I thought I'd ask Mother Nature to gift him with some. I hope you'll get to enjoy some, too.

Yes, it is visible from my house. The snow on the foothills looks like a blanket.

@Aquitaine24 Oh, nice! Looking at snow is a lot more fun than being stuck in snow.

I'm glad Southern Cal will get some moisture too. Here's my photo of Mt. Diablo from Trader Joe's at the corner of Pleasant Hill, Concord, and Walnut Creek yesterday.

Yes but that is Northern California where it is much coñder and more likely to snow. I am in Southern California and it almost never snows. It doesn’t get cold enough, it can get into the 30s but that’s not normally cold enough for snow. It is really rainy though more so than usual.

We don't have it at my elevation, but it's fun to drive up and play in it.

@Aquitaine24 It snowed during the night, but it's melting, the temperature is too warm.
