Hah! I got some work done on my book just now.

It was a lazy day for me today. I spent some time on MyLot, talked to a couple of friends on the phone, and practiced a bit of guitar and piano. But I finally "bit the bullet" and got some work done on my book this evening. I added a few paragraphs each to chapters about: a) a 10-year-old boy with the foulest mouth I've ever encountered in a kid of that age; b) a 6-year-old boy I taught piano to at the drug rehab; and c) a 2 1/2-year-old autistic kid who I was able to "reach" through music (yes, I've written about him here recently). Now I can go to bed and not feel like a total slacker. I don't have physical "constipation" right now. but today was one of those days where I couldn't really get my mojo working. Everything I did (except MyLot-related things, of course) required a bit of effort. I had to "push it out." Do you ever have days like that? I may go to bed sooner than later. I'll attach a picture of a rock formation the "cursing kid" and I came to enjoy climbing. You've seem it before.

Yes, I've had days were everything felt like "work"... even when it was just reading a book or watching a funny video a friend sent me in an email. Taking a nap usually "fixes" the problem for me. I hope you have a good night and feel better tomorrow.

@DaddyEvil I'm playing music with a couple of friends at Mike's house. I may try to get there early and record something. Vanny and I have not done our thing in a long while.

I did not a lot yesterday, we went for a walk, but I was even lazy cooking. I cooked but nothing complicated.

You work hard and you deserve a day when you can just relax and do nothing.

I have to remind myself sometimes that a "Sabbath" is OK now and then.

That looks a great place to go rock-climbing. I'm glad you got something achieved in the end.

Thanks. That rock wall is actually easier to climb than it looks. That's why it's perfect for kids!

@JudyEv It does. The biggest danger there is that it's home to velvet ants, or "cow killers." They're actually wingless wasps, and they apparently pack quite the sting.

We did a ton today, so not really feeling like a slacker. We went to Whatburger for breakfast, then the zoo, then to a friends house, then to the dispensary, then to another friends house, 2 Dollar Generals, 2 Walmarts, Wendys, the pharmacy, and McDonalds. Changed two tires on the trailer, gave the dogs baths, I cleaned out two drawers in the dresser, and I wrote three freelance articles.

Wow! The zoo sounds fun. What were the articles about? Were they long?

@TheHorse One was a recipe article, one was a review and one was abou tcash back apps and websites. The first was 2500 words, the second 766 and the third was 1200. so I guess it dpeends on your definition of long

I hate it when I have a lot of things to get done and I don't get them all done. I always think I am going to; I think I set myself up for failure at times by trying to fit too much in one day.

Good point about setting yourself up for failure. My list is also too long for one day (especially with hold time on phones), so I try to pat myself on the back if I get just a bit done.

It's a cool rock. What's extra cool about it is that looks more impressive than it is hard to climb.

On days when I'm so tired because I can't sleep, things are very difficult to accomplish. I usually just sit in front of the TV with my eyes either open or closed an vegetate. Congrats on getting some work done on your book. How close are you to finishing it?
