The Wrong Thought

As I did my day trip yesterday through Kentucky a thought occurred to me that probably was not exactly the right thought considering the purpose of my trip was to meet some of our customers we don't see too often and grow and expand business.
Retirement.
The weather was perfect. It was sunny, dry, and relatively warm. And it was all those signs pointing to camping that sort of triggered me.
You just get to a point when you are tired of the grind, you are tired of the time lost, and you think, man, there's a million other things I could be doing rather than working.
Perhaps I am just getting burned out again. Or, I am getting closer to actually deciding what's next.

I don´t see you as a person who´d like being retired yet.

@marguicha For one thing, with the camper, while I don't ever want to necessarily live in it full time, I think it would be nice during the winter to head for warmer climates.

When that thought comes to mind, I head to what I want to be doing. I drop everything at the drop of a hat and head to the beach which is 1hour commute from my house.

I will be waiting to see how much more you can take of the grind Jim
That RV looks mighty tempting.

I yo yo the thought of retirement around all the time, but unlike you, I am not financially prepared. I also have a job that makes me feel like I make a difference in the world. It is hard to quit. Maybe you need a nice long vacation.

Indeed, there are still things we could do aside from working. I'm retired but even during retirement, I need to do some tasks to help me financially. Money may run the world but it's not everything. Happiness, peace and contentment are still essential for people.
So I do try to take constant breaks while working. Some people work and work without really living life and when they can no longer work, they would be too old to at least go out and smell the roses and enjoy the sunshine. You're right that we should find other things to do in life.

When a person can afford it, early retirement can be such a blessing. None of us are promised tomorrow.

We've all felt that way. I used to go to work every day just wishing that my numbers would come up in the lottery so I could say, "Adios!" How much longer do you have to go until your planned early retirement?
There are several other styles available on the net and on Amazon. Good luck!

May be it's time to think of retirement. You may make more money if you spend more time on investment. And, you have so many hobbies. I'm sure your retirement life will be rewarding.

A lot might depend on if you are married too, as often our partner has different ideas about retirement than what we have.
Even, when retired, we can still feel burnt out too. We need to motivate ourselves into action, at all periods in our lives.
