I have a job offer in Georgia! Should I take it?

I have a job offer from Georgia from a fellow career educator who has settled there and is starting a school. My friend is actually an old neighbor and softball buddy from my Santa Barbara days. I have friends in Atlanta, so I wouldn't be totally "at sea" there.
Or so I thought.
The Georgia my friend has moved to is in Eastern Europe, and is close to Russia. My friend says the people are really nice there, and that some speak English. He says the food is really good too.
I would hate to leave my littlies and my music students here, but this sounds like quite an adventure.
What do you think?

You have to consider the pros and cons.
The cons: you’d be farther away from your dental floss in Montana, and you’d be much closer to me.

@Aquitaine24 That would be a motivator. But Santa Barbara would be an easier move if I decided to move.

@andriaperry I think it's likely I'll be somewhere in the US six months from now.

-------------------It sounds suspiciously like California. I think you should wait until you get a real offer to relocate to America.

@xander6464 I hear people are nice in Kentucky. Is that a state?

We'd still get to talk with you, right? That's the most important part....

@TheHorse Yeah, Russia being so close would be another thing to worry about if you moved to Georgia.

Goodness! That's quite a different Georgia than I'm familiar with. Considering all that's going on in that part of the world, maybe you shouldn't make any rash decisions.

It does seem like an interesting country to visit but not necessarily live in.

It does sound like quite a adventure but somehow I can't picture you packing up and leaving.
What a great picture

@Marilynda1225 She is, in general. But she lost her uncle recently, so the family is going through the grieving process.

Really an adventure! Hard to resist that one, I would imagine. There is a downside to most opportunities, especially if they involve relocating.
Yes, great photo!

Personally, I say stay where you are and don't move to that Georgia. I think you would miss what you have here too much. If it were someplace else like where I lived in Riga, Latvia, I would have said if you want to go you'll love it because you can live a laid-back unstressed life but you also have to know how you can live there legally. I am both a US and Latvian citizen.

That sounds like an interesting opportunity. This is not a decision to be made in haste.

I would say go for it you only live once you only have one life to live it to the fullest.
