The patio is closed today. We have a 30-degree difference from yesterday’s 80-degree warmth. And they have those S-things on the icons for next week’s weather forecast. 
I need something to warm me up, so how about a great movie song?! Here’s today’s tune.

This didn’t get an Oscar nomination because Gentlemen Prefer Blondes was a film adaptation of a play. In the play, Carol Channing sang this song. Marilyn Monroe took care of business in the film.
The scene in which this was sung was mimicked in Madonna’s video for “Material Girl.”

My favorite movie of hers is How To Marry a Millionaire but I sure know this song. I have not seen the whole movie but parts of it particularly where Marilyn sings,

I’ve seen parts of Niagara because I love Niagara Falls so much. Some Like It Hot is one of my favorite comedies, period, with or without Marilyn in it.

That good looking woman got so pale in the face, she was about to pass out right there and then in that supermarket. Her reaction puzzled me, until I remembered some half an hour later, that she had verbally attacked me some weeks ago, and that time, I logically pointed out to her all her wrong doings and "facts", and told her to get lost!
She happened to be my former sister in law, my arch-enemy back then.

And Anna Nicole Smith also channeled Marilyn for her "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" single in 1998. Sadly, she succumbed to the same fate as Marilyn.

I definitely prefer her version to Carol Channing’s. Carol was a legend, but I didn’t care for her voice that much.
