My Cash Flow is not Steady

I just realized my cashflow is not steady and more concentrated on the months of November and December as well as March, April and May. The rest I'm really low on cash inflow. It is a lesson for me now to set aside some of the earnings on the peak months for those months when I earn very little.
It will be even tougher once my daughter is in college. She will have to learn to be frugal with the money we send her as we are not rich and we failed to raise a college fund. She is sickly as a child and we spent mostly on hospital bills and medicines for her. It was a really tough ride.
But apart from that, I would say life is still good. Life in itself is hard but nature is very beautiful. And we witness beauty around us in the laughter of children and appreciation of simple things like the beauty of the evening lights.
I feel amazed when I realize I am 43 and I am still here. It is just a wonder.

That is something I am working on to save money during the good times to have on hand when the Christmas holidays comes and slows down the cashflow.

That is a smart idea. Or you can start a sinking fund named Christmas holidays and add a little bit to it whenever cash comes in throughout the year.

You are people who are very enterprising so you know how to make money. That is a good advise you give your son.
I am only a paid worker so my income is limited and then this illness that is making it a challenge for me to go to work. But Im still trying.

@LadyDuck Those are words of someone who had a good life. I am being appreciative lately and being curious about the world and it is enriching my life. I wonder if it is age that brings about this change in mindset and attitude.

It is more like my health is making it difficult for me to keep a day job. And I have been there 20 years. I still like to go from time to time but not the who 40 hours a week.

I constantly remind my children to be careful with money and resources they have but this generation seems to take everything for granted.

Especially with the online shopping and trends. My daughter just bought 4 clothing this week as if she doesnt already have too many clothes. But okay whatever makes her happy.

@yoalldudes Ouch, that made me think of the time one of my daughters just turned 14. The years afterwards she kept buying fashionable clothings which materials or styles were with a short lifespan. She ignored all my advices, and just as I predicted, everything got dumped here a few weeks later (and she went buying new lots!).

You can always start a business and work on it. After working with corporates I can say business is the only thing which can satisfy our financial goals. Salary jobs give solution only for temporary financial goals.
