I just placed a Walmart pick up order for tomorrow between noon and one pm. I had originally planned on making it a delivery order that way we didn't have to leave the house to pick it up. But they wanted to charge me $8 for delivery because our Walmart Plus account has lapsed, and that isn't very frugal.
So I switched it pick-up, and we will go pick it up tomorrow when they email me and tell me it's time.
I spent $184.09 and got 40 items. I will do a haul post tomorrow when I get it all home and make a meal plan. I was surprised that I only went $30.04 over the budget I had set for myself of $150, but we are almost out of meat, so a lot of that was meat.
Anyhoo. Stay tuned for meal plan and how far $180.04 goes in todays market.

That's a bummer that they would have charged that for the delivery. But that's good you can order it for pick up. We don't have the delivery option, at least we didn't last time I checked.

They used to not charge for delivery is you used food stamps. But apprarently that has changed. Oh well, it's only eight miles to Walmart. So it's all good.
I finally got paid for a translation job I did on Fiverr, so I have a little bit of money. But it just wasnt worth it to me to spend it on delivery when we are perfectly capable of picking it up. The delivery/pickup at our Walmart is still relatively new within the last few years.

@MommyOfEli2013 We only have Walmart, Piggly Wiggly, a local grocery store called Thriftway, and like six Dollar Generals as well as a Family Dollar and Dollar Tree.
We have some other non food related stores. But not really. I'd rather usually go to the Walmart about thirty mintues away. But we have other stuff we need to do tomrrow so I will have to deal with our walmart in town

@thislittlepennyearns Oh really? That's good to know. Not that we have the option haha. 8 miles is not too bad. Ours is in a different town lol.
That's good that you did, but I totally understand not wanting to spend it on that.

No, which part of this made it seem like they were frozen meals?

@Lignitecityabishek96 I didn;t know there were Walmarts in India. That's weird.
They sell fresh and frozen meat. I buy the larger family packs and freeze it into smaller portions for meals.

For the amount you're spending you would think delivery cost would be waived! Glad you can make it to Walmart for your pick up. I do prefer pick ups too but that's also because Walmart is less than 5 minute drive for me.

I should be able to. I got pork loin and pork chops and chicken and hamburger meat and even got some ribeyes for dinner tonight.
