Can't Catch A Break...

Today hasn't been the best day. Well lately a lot of days are like that.
My day started off by slipping on the ice and falling while cleaning off the car to get Eli to school. It really hurt when I fell but I have been fine the rest of the day. Tomorrow I may be sore though.
Then, we got the bills in the mail. Thought the electric bill would have been a little bit lower than the last 2 months....but nope it was even higher. To top that off, our rent went up too...so that's 40 to 50 more dollars than last month.
I also got a bill owing 30 dollars for my libre freestyle sensors. I have never received a bill for them before, I thought they were fully covered. Guess not anymore.
Oh, and I looked more into the child tax credit. They changed it, now you need to at least earn 2,500 a year to be eligible. Wish I had known about it the past couple years so we could have got the help in the past. But oh well. Just can't catch a break like I said.
At least I am earning on the new app still. Just have not cashed out yet. Mostly haven't because they don't use PayPal.
Hope you all have had a better day than I have. I guess I need to find "work" but with my anxiety I can't really get a typical job.

I stayed in bed most of the day. Even used a Pizza Hut coupon we had to order lunch because that's how cruddy I felt I ordered lunch instead of cooking.
We had easy microwaved food for dinner. I'm feeling a little better tonight but not a hundred percent.
Anyway, would you send me the link to the app on messenger one more time lol! I hope it works with iphone.
Anway if it doesnt ill put it on the tablet.
I will help you with your laptop thing problem tomorrow.
And if you can write you can make a decent income with Fiverr.

Sorry you felt that way, that's good you could order that and not have to cook.
Yeah, I can send it again...they just brought back the referral program too thankfully lol! Should work on an iPhone
No worries, we're not going anywhere lol
Unfortunately I can't really write. I used to be able to but the past couple years I haven't been able to.

@MommyOfEli2013 It's not really writing. I'll send you a mesage explaining it to you. LOL. Or post about it either tonight or tomorrow.

@thislittlepennyearns Well I tried one of those writing job places, textbroker or something? and I failed at that. Sounds good though, looking into it won't hurt lol

I hope things start looking better for you, but of course if you don't let go of self-imposed limitations that is never going to happen. I wish I had a better idea for you, but really, it's about just doing what you have to do. Otherwise all you can do is continue to do what you are doing, which does not sound particularly pleasant.
I think you are way more capable than you know.

Sorry to hear about your challenging day - especially the slip on the ice, ouch!
My week started a bit like that, our pipes froze and we have had no water since Monday - we had to buy bottled water and I'm shoveling and melting snow to provide wash and flush water. sigh
'They changed it, now you need to at least earn 2,500 a year to be eligible. Wish I had known about it the past couple years so we could have got the help in the past.'
I wonder if you couldn't request a reassessment?
I know in Canada, that if you miss important tax credits in one year, you can submit your information and ask that the year in question be reassessed with the new information.
I need to that myself, with an RRSP receipt I got after I had already filed for the year.
I can go online, submit the new information against my prior year's return and they should assess a refund.

@MommyOfEli2013 I guess it's different where you live.
In Canada, the child tax benefit, the GST rebate and the working income tax benefit, aren't available until someone files. Even if a person has no income, they need to file a return.

It's fine. It is what it is....
Sorry to hear that
Reassessment? Not sure what that is...
and we never filed before....so nothing to reassess. It used to be that you didn't have to file to get the child tax credit.
That's good to hear that you can do that

@sulynsi we still would have had to file to get it, but in the past it did not matter if we had never filed before. But now, people have to have earned at least 2,500 a year.

Yes it has, and for some of us we can't make it through that...easily anyway.
Thanks, although not sure what that would be. Curious what she has found that works with anxiety

I'm sorry you fell again when you went out to take care of the car before taking Eli to school. I'm sure you will feel it today.
I'm sorry you have higher bills than usual.

@MommyOfEli2013 I'm glad it's not as bad as it was.
I'm sorry the rent went up due to your husband's increase in wages.
The electric is going up everywhere. Here too.

@just4him I am glad too, I guess...
Well not his wages, since he can't work...but yeah. We are on a limited budget so can't really afford the bills going up.
Sorry to hear that. Was just shocked. I figured it would be about the same as the past 2 months, maybe a little less. Hoping for a bigger drop next month

It's okay, doesn't seem as bad as before. Although my ankle does look a bit swollen/fat.
It's fine, part of life I guess. Rent went up cause my husbands check went up.
Electric bill, not sure why that went up

Most days are rough. But yes, it's worse when the bills are getting higher and no money is coming in

I would hope, but if I haven't in 10 years, not sure I will now. Wanted to try working at a family friend's restaurant, but she didn't even consider us.

Hope you are not too sore. Call your insurance about that bill. It might be a mistake

Sore, but not too bad I don't think. My ankle is a bit swollen but it doesn't hurt.
I don't want to deal with calling anyone...maybe it's a new thing or something...just can't keep paying that each month

I'm sorry you fell. I hope you feel OK now. I'm also sorry for the bills. Unexpected ones can throw off your budget. Thanks for the update.

It's fine, was more angry at the snow and ice being there and making me fall than anything.
Yes, they can...and even though my husband is getting more this year, the bills take most of it away...

It's okay....I am used to doing stuff like that.
Yes, that is good...although I am relying on others to help me earn there
