@LindaOHio Now that I´m old I´m amazed at how much I learnt when I was a child from people who did not know how to read or write. School learning is not the only way to acquire knowledge and sometimes it is very much over rated.

@LadyDuck When I was a girl, maids went to the cinema in their day off and the only movies they could watch were the Mexican movies as most did not know how to read and other movies only came with subtitles. That was golden moment for Mexican movies and they were all romantic with a "charro" who sang rancheras to his love. Then the maids sang the songs while they worked and I learned all those songs. I love them.
