California has been making national news because of the unprecedented snowy weather. Snow occurred in very low locations. In some cases, people couldn't go anywhere because roads were blocked. It could be bad for business owners because customers can't get there. It was very bad for Southern California, in part due to not being prepared.

That really as bad. I know Cali isn't known for snow, but neither is Florida. But, we deal.

All that snow is such a mixed blessing. It is wrecking havoc on the state right now, but they need it (and lots more of it) to ease the drought.

I agree. The news said the mega drought is actually still going on,but if this happens next year it would help

@Aquitaine24 It’s going to take a lot of snow and a lot of rain to eventually put an end to the mega drought. California needs several years of rainy/snowy seasons to end the drought.

I have seen the reports of the snow in southern California on the Weather Channel. It is sobering to see how the people in the affected areas which reminded of the horrors of being trapped inside the home after Hurricanes Laura and Delta in 2020.

@Aquitaine24 That is true since roads being flooded by water is terrible compared to snow.

I agree. An 81 year old man got trapped and survived on croissants he had in his car.

I've seen news stories about the snow in California. I hope people will be able to get out soon so they can get their medicines and food.
