A male driver whose name was not released to the public who was trapped inside of his auto in Box Canyon Oregon when he drove his auto on a remote road at the Williamette National Forest yesterday and encountered bad luck getting stuck in the snow since what likely happened is that snow fell in the area and trapped the driver. The driver who to use a drone with a cellphone attached to it sent a message for help. The drone with the cellphone attached was able to relay where his location was to the officers at Lane County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Center. The deputies with the Lane County Sheriff's Office were able to locate the male driver inside of his auto as well as another driver near the place where the drone was sent who was trapped inside of his or her auto for a few days trapped in the snow. Both drivers were rescued and are in good condition. The reason that the driver who was trapped inside his auto could not use his cell phone to ask for help is because the area where he was trapped could not relay his message due to the lack of towers in the area. The deputies with the Lane County Sheriff are asking drivers not to drive their autos in areas where there is a lot of snow because they will be trapped inside their autos for a long time. You are right since where he was located, a cellphone signal was weak to get help where he was.

Being stuck inside of a car in snow is just as bad being stuck inside of a car in water.

I am in agreement with you since even though the driver had a cellphone with him since the area was not surrounded with cell towers, he was in trouble.

I am sure that the deputies told the driver when he was rescued that he was lucky to use a drone to get help,

That was a very clever idea but he was also pretty lucky to be rescued.

The driver who was inside the car that was in the snow was lucky since he had no one in his family to come to rescue him since they were out of town.
