Today's trip to the little Tesco.

I went to Church again on Sunday, but the service was dull and flat and I wished I was in Cardiff.
I watched the Oscars on Sunday night. It was on Sky Arts (Freeview Channel 11) from 12:00 midnight to 3:40am! In the magazine it said it ended at 3:00am and on the TVs digital guide it said it ended at 4:00am but it actually ended at 3:40am. I guess because it was live they didn't actually know when it would actually end! I tried to stay awake to watch it all but I fell asleep and I think I missed about the last half hour! I managed to wake up just before it finished!
Last night (Monday night) we watched Andre Rieu on Sky Arts. He was on from 10:00pm till 11:45pm and I managed to stay awake for that, but my Mum was asleep for most of it!
So I've just been to the little Tesco again. I had quite a bit to get today. Before I went out I heard the next door neighbours dog barking because she wanted to be taken for a walk. Then we saw them go past. They came back just before I went out to the shop. I thought it looked hot out so I hoped it wasn't going to be too hot because I didn't want to change out of my big cardigan because my thinner jumpers are in a drawer that I can't get to because there's loads of stuff infront of it! I found that when I went out there was actually a bit of a breeze that made it cooler.
The driveways have been finished now down the road. The first one has a few block paving stones around the edges and then the rest has been tarmacked with just one corner near the road being raised and walled with stones placed inside instead of a lawn. The other one further down has just had their lawn made into a pebble area.
First thing I did was post a competition entry for one of those day time telly competitions. It's for £120,000. I never win, but you know what they say, you've got to be in it to win it!
When I got to the shop I got the TV magazines as usual, then 2 packets of ginger nuts for me, a bounty bar for my step-dad, Viennese whirls, a packet of soft sweets, and a 6 pack of assorted crisps.
Then I went to the fruit and veg section and got a large bunch of bananas, pears, strawberries and a packet of dates for my step-dad.
I got a box of Alpen with no added sugar for my Mum and some chocolate eclairs for my Mum and step-dad. Then I got 2 bottles of milk and then I went to pay.
It came to just over £26 when all the discounts were added. Then I went home. It was a lot warmer going home than it had been going.
When I got home I unpacked the groceries. As I was walking past my Mum with the large bunch of bananas I said, "I wonder if I've got enough bananas!" all deadpan like! Then I sat down to have a rest and cool down while watching the telly! I'm now watching Homes Under the Hammer as usual!
So what are you lot getting up to?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

I missed watching Oscars this time. Two Indian entries won it and so it was a proud moment for our country. I am still to catch up with other updates about Oscars. I was traveling the last week and I came back last night.
Liked your spirit for participation..you are right that you have to be in it to win it. I need to make a list for my grocery shopping too.

Apparently Everything Everywhere All At Once cleaned up at the Oscars this year. I read a little about it and it sounds really strange! I'm glad some Indian entries won to make your country proud. I hope you enjoyed your travelling. Have a nice day.

@sharonelton My trip was a great one. Had good time enjoying the Spring festival and festival of colours Holi with friends and family. I spent a week at my in laws house. It was a big family get together and a great fun.

@Adie04 Oh, dear! Who was it and what have they done? I don't like it when I'm trying to read or watch the TV and my Mum starts talking, I either lose my place or lose track of what's going on and I sometimes go Shhh! and then she thinks I'm being rude so I can't win!

It was worth it till I fell asleep and then woke up just before it finished! I missed the obituary section and everything! But I did manage to see some of it again on Monday night because it had a highlights programme on from 8:00pm to 10:00pm before Andre Rieu came on.
