He takes the audio and speeds it up. It is like being on steriods and hearing everything double time. He likes to do this because it saves time when he wants to listen to a lecture. I haven't tried it, but may you could do it too? What do you think about speed listening?

I didn't need to take speed reading, I read fast anyway, and I remember what I read. I don't buy books because I finish them too fast. . . . I finished all the English books in my local Jerusalem library. . . even the boring ones.

Speed listening can be a useful tool for saving time and increasing efficiency. However, it's important to remember that it can lead to a loss of important information and context. I recommend using this technique with caution and only when necessary.

I personally don't like it, but if that's the best way that my son can fit in all of his classes, so it is worth it to him. I will mention your concern to him in a nice way.

My son puts the speed of the audio faster than the normal rate of speech. so that is why I call it "speed listening!"

@lifecoachjerusalem Oh I see! Umm, I don't dare to try it. I rather listen to what people talk.

Many blind people I know make it an art form. I even listen to my screen readers at two times the default speed, and speed things up to make them sound a little more natural sounding. Sometimes when I type, I might miss hearing a letter or two because of how fast I go. I've crashed my screen reader (Jaws or Job access with Speech) on occasion because I type faster than it can keep up. So, I do tend to find a place for it, but it depends on the application.

That sounds a really good idea to me but I can't help thinking it's all about speed nowadays.

That's a really good way to save time. I always do the same thing when I hear a podcast or youtube video.
