Backyard Birds Are Always Welcome

Have spent a few freezing cold days watching the birds from inside. I used the bench in Dustin's garden to feed those visitors. Also had peanuts in the deck feeder for the cardinals and blue jays. Sunflower seeds, apple and peanut butter seem to be favorites, even for the woodpeckers.
I am sharing a few of many photos taken over the last week or so. There also have been robins (enjoying the apples), cardinals, mockingbirds, downy woodpeckers, and many more visiting.
Last week we got up to the 80s for a couple of days. Yesterday morning we had a frigid 22 F morning. But today we are back to maybe the 60s later. Several very cold mornings lately. Nature's way of letting us know who is in control. Certainly not us.
Spring will officially arrive on March 20th. We have rain tomorrow, then another 20 F weekend. Hoping the blooms will soon start to make their appearances. I hope I haven't lost too much to the frigid temperatures.
Hope you are all doing well these days.

I posted this morning complaining about the up and down weather. I hate it. I can't wait for Spring. George is having fun planting more grass.

Very nice collage of photos! Pretty birds. That does sound cold, but the 60s sound very nice. We are only in the high 30s right now...but it looks nice out. Hope it will be nicer than the 20s there soon!

@CarolDM That's good to hear, it would be nice if we could share a gallery of photos, but guess collages will have to work. Up to the 50s sound nice...but yes in the 20s is pretty cold!

@MommyOfEli2013 Seems most here are not interested in photos like we are. Maybe for another site.

We have a few birds in our backyard too. The same couple of pigeons live there all year, and then have their young ones in a tree here, the same tree every year, once a year too.

Oh my goodness how lucky you are. I have never seen a dove nest in my yard. Plenty of them eating. I hope one will build a nest. How adorable those babies would be. Thank you for sharing this Steve. It gives me hope. Nature is incredible and has so much for us to enjoy.

@CarolDM You're welcome!
Not just photocards, but something, hmm.... I don't know what does it call. The picture in front, and use the letter and stamp and write address at the other page. What is it called? I really forget the name. I usually see it in the souvenir's shop

Wouldn’t be spring without a sub-freezing weekend.
Pray you’re doing well.
