Two hours in the kitchen.

Good afternoon from this side of the planet. It's 2:03 PM as I write this post. It's sunny and warm outside. We did get some drizzle for few minutes in the morning.
I came back from work at 11:30. One more week to go and then we start with our summer vacation for two months..
I came and changed fast to enter the kitchen. I had not cooked lunch in the morning. No lunch needed to be packed. My daughter has a break till mid April after her exams. Her new class Pre University 2 would start in April. It would be her last year before she goes to college next year. My husband is not keeping so well( a little exhausted after a hectic week) and so he chose to work from home today. And my niece is writing her term exam. She is back home for lunch. So, I stayed relaxed in the morning and only made toast and omelets for breakfast. I did do an hour or more of yoga and meditation.
I was in the kitchen for almost two hours. I cooked lunch while lunch was being cooked, I finished a lot around the kitchen. Cleaned the slab, glass window along the sink, tap, utility area tiles and one shelf. I also washed the dishes in the sink from the breakfast time. I did all the preparation for dinner and tomorrow breakfast. Now, I need to catch my breath before eating lunch. My husband has gone for hair cut and he should be back in some time. Till then I can myLot.
The picture is of the fresh harvest from my kitchen garden today. I cooked these fresh vegetables from garden for lunch.
Hope everyone is having a good time in their myLot corner.
It's been a long since I posted a discussion here.
Now I move to reading and responding to your posts

Here too the schools that follow International boards like IB and IGSCE follow the same academic year. The ones that follow Indian Central or State boards have academic year ending in March and April.
Where are you planning to go for vacation??

I did take a break after lunch. Then I finished some more chores and deep cleaning around the house. I was totally exhausted and slept for 9 long hours at a stretch in the night.

@JudyEv I know. My husband has trouble sleeping and he also wishes for that. I am grateful to God that I sleep like a baby. That's actually a blessing

We are into third week of the summer vacation and it's going good so far. I planned a lot of things for the vacation. I have not started on some, but at least I have started with few. I don't mind even if I don't do all that I want to do..as long as it's fun, I am happy..
You were missed..Glad to have you back here. Hope to see you more here

@LindaOHio No matter how much we try, it's very challenging to catch up with all that is happening here.
I find some active users like Sharon and Maluse missing here in action for quite some time. I hope they are doing good.

I totally agree. It feels worth all the time and effort that we put in there.I call it harvest of love. I also harvested a lettuce and few tomatoes yesterday. Tomorrow spinach would be harvested. One pot of spinach is ready and I would use it for Sunday lunch
I did some more cleaning and sorting around the house. I slept at 12 and woke up at 9...9 hours at a stretch. I was so exhausted . I was fresh in the morning after all the sleep

@arunima25 I am getting tempted to start on vegetables again
And by the way the recipe I gave you for tender jack fruit you have to add a bit scraped coconut in that

@allknowing You have a huge space. You can plan for it.
Okay! Noted
The rest of the Jackfruit left from my Ranchi trip were used for cutlets yesterday. We had it in dinner. My husband enjoyed it with his Friday night drink.
I will try your recipe when I get some tender jackfruit from the store.

@CarolDM Good. Even I like to stay indoors and enjoy the rain. Yesterday night we had light showers throughout the night and I enjoyed the sound of raindrops on my terrace..
So nice of your neighbour to share her harvest. We also do that amongst our friends.

@arunima25 Not at all. I stay inside and enjoy the rainfall. No flooding, so all is good. Sunshine today. My neighbor gives us tomatoes in the summer. Looking forward to that in a few months.
