Continued from parts 1, 2 and 3 We'd had Callie for a couple of weeks or so, and we suddenly noticed some piles that did not look quite right. Bloody stools and a bit runny. It alarmed us, as it should, and so it was decided to take Callie to the vet to be checked out. So, the deed was done. Callie went to the vet and we waited for the doc to look her over and make sure she was all right. A few hours later we got the call. "Well, Callie's fine," the vet told us. "Just a bit of a case of worms. But no worries, it's not serious." She was going to give us some medicine to put into Callie's food that she said was going to clear her problem up in a few short weeks. "She'll be good as new," she said. "One other thing," the vet paused. "Callie is a boy cat." What we heard was "Callie's got balls," but of course we are men and can be a bit immature at times despite our years, and of course the vet was a bit more professional than we could ever dream to be. So it became to be on that day that the cat we met as Debra who became Callie is now known as Cal. Perhaps Cal would have preferred to continue to be known as Callie since it wasn't long after the discovery that Cal also got snipped. And that, my friends, is the story behind Cal, the warehouse Cat.
