I posted about a site where I had earned a bit for a task and about not being in their system when I tried to log back in. The site only recognizes certain browsers, and I was not using the right one when I tried to log in. There are no more tasks right now, but I was able to get in and look. I keep index cards with passwords on them, so on the card for this site I put in big red letters that I have tog in with Edge. No problems in the future.

I have had that happen on a few sites and I hate it. I do the same as you jotting it down on the password sheet.

@GardenGerty That can help... Lately Pretty had been taking my notes for different reasons and never gives them back to me. That's frustrating.

I keep lists of all of them in a separate book. Some people store them online, but I do not trust that.

I sometimes have problems with some of the survey sites I do. Everything is all right if my password for log in is remembered but then sometimes it takes me forever to get back in,

I've experienced the same, some will be like" try logging in using Firefox or chrome.
