Today Is The First Day of Spring (Yippee)

Happy Monday Everyone! it's a sunny morning here today and I'm so happy that it's officially spring (picture me smiling and jumping up and down). Of course it's only spring on the calendar but it won't be long before we will be enjoying spring weather.
My weekend was busy so I basically had no time for myLotting.
My son, daughter in law and three grandsons came on Saturday to finish the bathroom. The guys worked and my daughter in law came to hang out.
I'm happy to say the bathroom is all done except for a new coat of paint on the walls. It looks so nice and my daughter is thrilled with her new shower.
Our next project is to paint the hallway and stairs which my son says he can do. Since the ceiling is pretty high going up the stairs I hope he can do it without falling and breaking his neck. Then we have to pull up the carpet and replace that.
There's always a project.
My granddaughter (my oldest daughters daughter) was home for spring break and she came and spent the day with us yesterday Today she is heading back to college and will be finishing up her last year this year.
The weekend flew by but it was a good busy especially that I got to spend time with family.
Today life is back to normal. I'm having my coffee and chatting here for awhile.

We started the day at 27F... and it's cloudy and nasty looking outside.
I switched to my new laptop and have been fighting with it all weekend. *sigh* I'm slowly forcing it to do things my way but it keeps shutting down and updating when I'm in the middle of something. That's already getting old.
Right now, I've taken a screenshot but can't find where it stores them...
Wish me luck, please.

I hate having to deal with new anything when it comes to technology. Hope you can "train" your new laptop to behave Shutting down in the middle of something would drive me crazy.. The hardest thing I had to learn recently was how to operate our new coffeemaker which is all digital.

I don't know if I could deal with having a bathroom being almost a year getting done. Ours has taken 3 weeks and it drove me crazy.
I had a good dose of family overload so that should get me through until everyone is here for Easter.

@Marilynda1225 I kept my cool until he ripped apart the dining room before finishing the bathroom so I now have two rooms unfinished and holy moly was it a mess.

What a nice finish to this project, you visiting with your daughter-in-law, that is the way all projects should end.
It is a sunny and bright day here, but I do not think that we have the spring weather just yet.
After work I am going to get out for a walk, that is my seasonal resolution.
I took a little roast out of the deep freezer now, on my lunch, and will pop it into the instant pot later on so that I do not have to do anything for supper other than the carrots, potatoes and gravy. I can handle that.

@Marilynda1225 I have 35 minutes to work on a course today, but I already finished it another day, so I just went outside, that sun feels nice today.
I feel like I use my insta pot a little more than I did our crock pot when I first got that years ago.
It is a convenience, but it also takes up precious kitchen space, so we have to weigh out what works better.

@Juliaacv I use my crockpot a few times a week and my air fryer all the time so I don't think I want to give up more counter space for something I wouldn't use that often.

I don't think we're going to see spring weather quite yet but soon. I'm ready for warmer weather. I am enjoying that it's staying lighter longer since we changed the clocks.
hope you're enjoying your walks after work.
I'm still on the fence about getting an insta pot. Being able to cook a roast quickly does sound good

@Marilynda1225 It is very warm here, we usually never have this kind of temperature before the end of April. I do not complain, except the lack of rain.

I know that spring is only a date on the calendar but slowly but surely we'll be seeing the weather change and get warmer. Sorry that it's freezing in Florida.

That's so exciting! I'm very happy for you to have your bathroom finished. Painting won't take long.
You have some projects lined up to keep you busy. I'm glad you could spend time with your family.
As for me, I sold 6 books at the winter market on Saturday and had a quiet Sunday. Enjoy the first day of spring.

No fun for me because I had my period which is no fun for anyone. I want my mother to paint my bathroom. My uncle painted his bathroom a bright red color. My mother and I want to paint it dark grey. We also want to extend the shower in there sometime. And maybe get rid of the spa bathtub in there.

We have a calendar day that says it's the first day of spring but normally spring doesn't show itself until the flowers start blooming, the grass turns green and the weather gets warmer
