Ron DeSantis threw some shade at Trump today

Florida governor Ron DeSantis was asked about his opinion on the imminent indictment of Trump by the Manhattan District Attorney. He was a good GOP boy and slammed the investigation and the DA as being a "Soros-funded DA". (1. anti-Semitic dogwhistle and 2. DAs are paid by taxpayers) The other part of his answer was telling, though. DeSantis is widely seen as the #1 opponent for Trump in the 2024 GOP primary election. He hasn't announced yet but Trump clearly fears him as we've seen him relentlessly attacking him over the past few months. DeSantis has ignored Trump's stupid insults and has not gone on the offense. . . but I think he dipped his toe in the water today. Ron DeSantis said: "I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair. I can’t speak to that.” He didn't pull a Jim Jordan or a Kevin McCarthy and deny that it ever happened. He just put it out there and played dumb because he doesn't know how those kinds of arrangements work. Masterful. Of course Trump couldn't help himself and he had to respond. He said that DeSantis would one day understand what it was like to be accused falsely and managed to include insinuations that DeSantis was both a groomer and homosexual in one short Truth Social post. The GOP primary next year is absolutely going to be a dumpster fire.
The Florida governor also blasted Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg.
