I am back again after a long hiatus

I am finally back to stay I think as life has been hectic, as I am now in a different place as I sold my house and now renting a studio apartment.
I wanted to come back sooner, but trying to get my house ready to sell took all of my time with no time for anything else. Now that I am settled in my new place, things are better as I don’t have anything to do here like I did there.
I have missed being here and I knew I would have to leave for awhile, but I never intended to stay gone for good. I have missed all of you a lot and now that I have nothing to do here, I have a lot of time to give here.
I do errands of course and have to take my dogs out as well. I am slowly getting back into the swing of things here so bear with me during that time. I hope everyone has a grear day and happy mylotting.

It's good to see you here again. I wondered what had become of you. You may not even remember me but we were a bit friendly before. Sounds like you've had some positive changes. How are your dogs? Take care.

@celticeagle Yes it is, much better than before and my family is not too far either. They are taking care of me and paying the bills I can’t. I am thankful to have them.

My dogs are great, but I can only have 2 so I surrendered the oldest one to the vet and they said they will take good care of her and find her a good home. My dogs are coping really well. I have to take them outside several tubes a day, but getting used to that pretty fast.

Yes I was really busy with the house. When you said I downsized, you said a mouthful as not only a smaller place but a lot less stuff. I sure did donate a lot of personal things but also threw out a lot too that weren’t all that great. I am getting used to being in a studio apartment as it is really a big change. Not much to take care of now which I like too.

@Hannihar Being in a studio apartment is really different. The studio apartment where I live was formerly a super 8 motel, that went out of business when Covid hit. A new owner purchased the motel, and decided to convert each room into a studio. It is just right for me and my two dogs. There is plenty of space to take them out to go potty as well, and they can walk around the outside of the motel to get their exercise. It took me a bit to get used to but I am doing fine now.

Believe me I know about moving and downsizing. I had to downsize so much in my last place and now we live in a bigger one but will be moving hopefully soon. It is very hard to move and do stuff. I have not sold a home so do not know that but I do know about moving and it is very exhausting and tiring work. I bet you had to donate stuff and can understand that. I bet it is a very big change. I moved from a bigger apartment to a smaller one and now a bigger one and hopefully we have one more move and that is it and a place for both my cat and I to sit out and her to run around like a yard or a porch where we can relax. We could not live in a studio unless it was very big and we had room to do things and a porch and a place for my mobility scooter.

@velvet53 Life can get in the way, so I can understand you didn’t feel like being in here. I wanted to, but just didn’t have the time as selling a house takes time and it needed to be done. I miss the house, but not all the work that went with it. I am happier now so that is a good thing for sure.

@sjvg1976 I do as it is just the right size for me. I can cook but not bake as there is no oven, but that is okay anyway. I am glad I have a stove top to cook on. It is an induction cooktop and took a little getting used to but I finally figured it out. I cook everyday on it.

@LadyDuck That is so true. I had no intention of moving either, but I am glad my family suggested to sell as it was overwhelming to take care of. Now I am on easy street so I have a lot of free time to do what I want, so that is great too.

Life is much better now. My family is closer now and they are taking good care of me as well some of my bills, which takes the burden off me. A lot of responsibilities with bills and such. I still have bills, but only 2 I take care of and my family takes care of the rest. I am so thankful for my family as they are the ones that found the place where I am now living, which is still in Oregon, but a different city.

Welcome back! It looks like you've been gone over a year. I'm glad you got everything settled with your house and the move to the apartment is finally finished, too.
I hope you're having a good day.

Moving certainly can be time consuming and stressful. Glad you're settled in the new place and have time to spend here on myLot.

I was in Eugene and now I am in Creswell, OR about 12 miles south of Eugene. It is a very small city but I am adjusting just fine to being in a new city.

I am glad I sold my house to. It took less time seeing it than it took to get it ready what with all the painting, new appliances, and new floors. My family helped as they did all the painting and paid for the appliances abcs new floors. They are also paying my rent hate so I don’t know what I would do without them. They have been a real blessing.

Yes I am, as it is quite an adjustment after owning my home for 15 years. It is good though since I don’t the responsibility I had before. I only have to keep my apartment clean and that is easy. Other than that no mowing or pulling weeds of all the other things I had to do when I owned t home. I am glad to be done with it all finally, as it got to be too much and was too big to take care of.
