The time that we need the most to burn wood includes winter and Spring too, because of the high level of humidity that comes out of the ground with the thawing during the daytime with the sun, and the rainy days. The weather I do not enjoy the most is the mixture of snow and rain. It makes a slushy ground. So it is still cool enough to wear winter boots but, wet enough that you need rain boots. I wanted a pair of boots that can do both, but the price tag was a bit on the high side. We are going to get through this leftover winter and the Spring time.

I live in the Philippines and we do only have the dry and the wet season. Cooking with wood though is common especially in provinces.

Where I live chimneys and wood burning are forbidden so I envy the places when that can be done. We are starting Fall here although it is still quite warm.

The Spring flowers and trees claim it's Spring here but it's still frosty at night... and we're getting thunderstorms now. Where I live in Missouri is under a flood warning.
