Good afternoon from this side of the planet. It's 2:20 PM as I write this post. Came back from work at 12, finished cooking lunch and cleaning the kitchen. Hot meal is ready but I have no appetite for it. I ate a very light breakfast and even had no mid morning snacks.I walked back from work and it was pretty hot. I should have taken an umbrella. It's a bit warmer today. I felt hot after being in the kitchen and had two full glasses of water. That makes me feel full. My daughter had her lunch. I will wait for some more time and then have a little bit. Don't want my sugar levels to drop. I tend to loose my appetite on hot days. This news popped up when I picked up the phone. It was an interesting watch. I am not a big fan of Artificial Intelligence and I have many ethical questions against it. I guess that's why Ethical AI use is the hot topic of discussion. Whether one likes it or hates it, it's here to stay. I personally feel that humans are going too far and inventing technologies to invent something to replace them or at least replace the little joys of life. I might be from old school of thoughts. Here is the link to the video What's your say??

I fully agree that we are going too much into the use of AI. Humans should use more their brain, technology is good, but we are abusing.

@arunima25 - I have read reports about experiments conducted by Zukerberg and Bill Gates (Facebook and Microsoft). They stopped their robots, because they were creating a new "personal" language to communicate among them cutting out the humans. This is extremely scary.

@LadyDuck Yesterday I read the heading of the news in the newspaper- " Mind controlling robots might be a reality soon". I couldn't read the whole news due to other things keeping me busy. But all these don't sound good to be. We are heading towards some disasters that we are creating for each other. We will be more vulnerable and unsafe.

I totally back you there. Somewhere Human always tend to cross the limits and bring more harm than good in a long run. I don't have a good feeling about this AI advancements either. I am in fact petrified at the imagination of what all disasters it could bring.

I am on the same page of thought. What a stupid idea to use human brain and creativity to create something to replace it. Though I am sure that it's impossible to replace human creativity. But then coming generations would use less and less of that depending more on technology. It's going to have more bad than good effects.

I will stay away from AI as much as I can. I want those little things that make me happy - writing my own poem, creating my own drawing.................

Same here. I seriously pity the coming generations. We are depriving them of the real life and the nuances of human life. As such I keep getting more and more cases of development deviations each year with the advancements of technology.

This is a subject which has raised a lot of questions in me, too. I just hope that they will not take over the world, as predicted in Terminator.

@arunima25 I read that Elon Musk and Steve Wozniak said that they should pause the development of the AI technology.

It's sacry. The other day I read an article that said that mind controlling robots might be a reality soon. I am not comfortable with such things. Invading personal space and creativity... it's something I would never like any technology to do.

That's where the ethical AI debate is picking up. But then who would approve the ethics. We have different perspectives about it. I am not for it. I love to paint , write, dance and have good times with my loved ones. I don't want a machine to take over that. If it continues like that, we will have nothing humane left about Human. I feel that it's going to bring more disasters than good.

If these technology advancement will continue, AI will dominate the world and most human interventions will be replaced by AIs.

That's one fear that might turn into reality if the craziness continues. Nothing humane would be left about Human. I love being away from AI and other advanced technology as much as I can. I want to enjoy the little joys of life.

Yes, It should be limited to certain things that can benefit human in larger perspective. It should not be intervening the personal space and creativity of human life. But sadly we are heading towards that. It's tough to decide where to draw the line as each one would have their own opinion.

I don't have a good feeling about it. Somewhere we have to stop before it becomes in charge of our lives. Already it's invading into so many personal spaces.

I should be surprised, but I'm not. People are always looking for something or someone to worship. Why not a robot? Personally, I will never replace God with a robot.

Even I found that very interesting and so shared it immediately here. AI can be used for good and that's why the talk about ethical AI is getting so hot in current times. But the big question is that who is going to draw the limit. Who will decide what's ethically correct or not??

I don't know what to think about AI. I haven't been reading the articles. I've been thinking that as I age, the world is becoming bewildering. I think of my mother in law and how bewildering the technology became for her. That's 10 years ago.

I've read somewhere that humans are self-destructive in general. Well, many of the people I met are not, but perhaps the writer meant that UNKNOWINGLY, we tend to destroy our environment, our community, and ourselves when we become ambitious or selfish. AI can be good if used wisely and conscientiously by people with good intentions.

You have put it right. Ethical AI discussions are pretty hot these days but who is to decide where to draw the line, and what's ethical and what's not. It's tricky. I am scared of the dangerous effects.
