Hello guys, I've been asking myself the meaning of a friend, so I decide to share with you coz we both have different opinions about it.
According to me a friend is a person or someone who you share any of your problem with, he/she is there for you no matter the situation, that's my thought.
Kindly share yours with us.

A friend is someone who likes to have fun with you and will always be there for you.

I find that the scriptures provide a really good definition of a friend, but also a description of a false friend:
Proverbs 18:24
'There are companions ready to crush one another,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.'
You've heard the term 'frenemies' or people who appear to be friends but its a toxic, negative relationship.
I'd rather have what Proverbs 17:17 describes:
'A true friend shows love at all times
And is a brother who is born for times of distress'
The word 'friend' is overused and misused these days, with 'friending' in social media.
We need to keep in mind, too, that in order to have that quality of friend, we need to BE that way to our friend.
The principle Jesus brought out really applies here:
'All things that you want men to do to you, you must likewise do to them' Matthew 7:12
