A Gathering of Birds

From our bedroom window in our house in Riga, Latvia before the apple trees started blooming and all the bushes got green leaves you could clearly see the sky. Across our property ran a wire I think it was electrical but I was never sure. Upon this wire, for some reason, the first birds gathered after spring had arrived. I guess from that perch they could overlook our garden and choose the trees they wanted to nest in. Once everything started growing and blooming you could no longer see the birds. They sat among the trees and the branches covered with green leaves hid the wire. Then it was my Sid’s turn to climb up in the trees to join them. He really did not harm the birds but sat in the trees and listened to their chirping.

I love that! So adorable when you can see them "sitting" in a line like that. I suppose it's better for them to be hidden so no predators could find them. Awww, Sid was good to just observe .

@much2say I think he really liked the birds and when he was up in the tree if he knew how to do it I think he might have sung along with them,

Such a lovely description of around your place there in Latvia Sandra. It must have been nice to see those birds there. And then when all the green would grow they would be hiding out. And Sid would try to get them?

It's funny some of the patterns that birds follow and we have no idea why.

I see lines of birds on electrical wires. I used to wonder why they weren't electrocuted until it occurred to me that as long as the touched nothing but the wire they were safe.
