Australian products heading to Ireland

Only one more sleep before we go to Ireland. Vince’s sister wanted us to take a bag of Cherry Ripes with us to give to our son. She says you can’t buy them there. She also said you can’t buy Violet Crumbles, a chocolate-covered honeycomb confection.
I think you can buy Vegemite in some stores but we are taking a plastic tube of Vegemite. If our son has lost his taste for it, we can have it on our toast at breakfast. I’m wondering what other Australian products are or aren’t available there. Not that it worries me. There is nothing that I MUST have while I'm away.

Enjoy your stay in Ireland. My cousins living in Sydney often bring me some Mint candies and lanolin cream when they visit HK.

Maybe something will strike you when you are in the airport. Where are you going to stay in Ireland? There is a store here called World Imports where you can get products from all over the world. I haven't been in there lately, but it is a cool store.

It is the same in many countries. Some stuff they are not allowed to sell that we think of as normal

When I was at school, my school was right next to the Cadbury factory, and the workers there at their lunchtime would have fun with us kids, by throwing cherryripes over the fence, and then watch us as we jumped up to try to catch one. They have been around for a long time.

I don't know what these eatables are. Are they some form of chocolates.

That's so great for you. Only one night sleep is remaining for you to fly to Ireland. What excitement!

I'm sure your son will appreciate the gesture.
Familiar with Violet Crumble. Didn't know until now that it is an Australian product.
Always been curious how vegemite tastes like.

Once we are settled in our house-swap I'll have time here and there to myLot. But I won't be on nearly as much as I am at the moment.

That's so nice of Vince's sister. She is so thoughtful about her nephew.
Have a good time in Ireland with your son. How long are you planning to stay there?

@JudyEv You have a long stay. But I am sure that even that would appear less. No time is enough to stay with our loved ones especially our children, no matter how old they grow.
They are really thoughtful and caring family members

Thanks. We are looking forward to seeing our son after a number of years.
