Being a chocolate foodie I have tasted chocolates form different countries and my main shopping was always chocolates whenever I went on foreign tours. Back in India I have done online shopping for chocolates and when I came across Belgian chocolates I wasted no time in ordering for a pack. The taste of these chocolates was not anyway compared to what I had brought from Belgium. On a closer look I noticed that these chocolates were made in India Obviously even though the recipe could have been the same as also the packing the ingredients used were those from local sources. I learnt my lesson and never more ordered for chocolates that had a foreign brand available here in India. What has been your experience?

I like Belgian pralines and Swiss chocolate and I always read the label to be sure of the place where they are made.

@allknowing It is mandatory for European Laws to mention the country where a product is made. I bought Lindt in Italy, it is made locally, even the ingredients are not exactly the same.

@LadyDuck When you open the Site and see products we only see the brand name but not where it is made unless one goes into detail

Imported chocolates are always expensive. I love Belgian and Swiss chocolates, too. Thankfully, I can buy those chocolates here.

If they are not original then the taste differs

It's really hard to guard against such false representation. I'm sorry your chocolates were disappointing.

As for me, it is difficult to try new things out. I prefer the original.
