Grateful For Today

Right now, I am extremely grateful for the fact that the hydro came back in less than one hour. Outside it looked like we were having a snow storm and very windy, scary to me. It was pretty boring without electricity for that time. Funny how we take things for granted when we have them. By the way, I just paid the electricity bill that came in this afternoon.

What exactly is hydro? I'm glad you have electricity and your bill is paid.

Its true we often take a lot of things for granted. I feel the importance of electricity in summer when it is impossible to stay indoors without electricity.

I'm glad everything for you is back to normal now. Pretty and I just spent over a day with no internet again... Apparently, the main cable was cut somewhere around New York and it took a repairman until a few minutes ago to get everyone hooked back up correctly... Even the internet for my phone stopped working. It was bizarre.

I'm glad it was less than an hour. We now have a standby generator that comes on when the power goes out. We spent 3 days without power in a very cold winter. I don't want to go through that again. We had 5 days without heat in the winter; but that was because there was water in the furnace which damaged some parts.

I am sorry you had been without electricity. They scared us that we could be without electricity and gas time by time during winter, but nothing happened.

And? Pacific Gas and Electric is gouging its California customers right now to pay for the fines they incurred for starting some of our horrible forest fires, including (I believe) the one in Pleasant CA. Oops, I mean Paradise CA.

I know how it feels not to have electrical power and other items inside of the home after a major storm comes to my neighborhood.

Oh hope the power is restored. True indeed, when we don't have it, we value more. Have a good day. Take care
