Day 260 (Psalms 134:1-3) (A Song of Ascents.) Behold, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, who by night stand in the house of the LORD! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD. The LORD who made heaven and earth bless you from Zion! What do you do when someone does something nice to you? Do you thank them? Do you go out of your way to do something nice in return? Most people are grateful when people do nice things for them. The psalmist told the priests to bless the LORD, to lift their hands and bless Him because He was their Creator. As Christians, do you need a reason to bless the LORD? You might see a lot of evil going on in the world, but there is always something to bless the LORD about. Your salvation, your health, your family, and your friends, are only a few reasons why you should bless the LORD. David said he would bless the LORD all the time. (Psalms 34:1) I will always bless the LORD. His praise will continually be in my mouth. David saw much trouble in his life, yet with all the trouble, he said he would always bless the LORD. What trouble do you face? Do you stand with uplifted hands to God and bless Him? Or do you grumble and complain about your circumstances, wondering when God will bring you out of your trouble? When you can bless God in the middle of your trouble, you will see God’s hand working in your life. Focus on God and lift your hands in praise and bless the LORD. Let’s pray: Father, when Satan comes against me to try to destroy my faith, let me lift my hands in praise, blessing Your name because You are holy and righteous. You redeemed me from Satan’s clutches and caused me to stand on the solid ground of faith. Let my praise come into Your temple as I bless Your name for Your faithfulness to me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 31 March 2023 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

One should always bless the Lord at all times. One excellent way to do so is to repay someone's kindness with kindness of your own.
