Will Donald Trump receive a "gag order" from the judge next week?

Do you think Donald Trump will receive a "gag order" from the judge when he is arraigned next week in New York City? As I understand it, a gag order is a stipulation from the judge that the defendant cannot communicate with the public at large, or with the media. Correct me if my explanation is too simple. Or dead wrong. As I understand it, such an order could be issued if the presiding judge is thinks that the defendant might try to incite violence.after his indictment. I think it would mean that Donald Trump cannot communicate with his supporters via "Truth Social," his current version of Twitter. Trump without his Truth Social account would be like me without my musical instruments. Do you think he'll receive a gag order?

For what I know a gag order is issued by a judge prohibiting the parties to a pending lawsuit from talking to the media or the public. Do you believe Trump would respect a gag order? It will be his best way to continue to postpone a judgment. They will never find jurors who have no opinion about this trial.

@TheHorse The only way to avoid that he talks to the crowds is to put him in jail immediately.

@LadyDuck I don't think the judge will do that.

Yes, that's a good point. But I believe that if he violated a gag order, the judge could order him put in jail.

I hope he receives a gag order. That would be the safest way to go. . It should shut down Trumps trouble making.

I hope so as well. But if mob bosses could order murders from prison, as could gang-bangers more recently, then Trump could certainly get his minions to do his dirty work for him from Mar-a-Largo. If the judge stipulates that he cannot do this, and he cannot help himself, he could wind up in physical jail.

@TheHorse Hopefully he will serve time in jail. Still, I won't believe it until I see it.

@wolfgirl569 It will be interesting to see him indicted. Having read a lot about him, and much less about Al Capone, Jeff fort, and others, I am surprised it has taken this long.

I think a gag order is legally binding. If Trump fails to adhere to it, the judge could order him to jail.

I’ve heard that he is wanted back on Twitter. Unless that’s not true. I’d understand if he will be prohibited to discuss his trial with people but they can’t prevent him from being socially active, especially with his supporters.

@TheHorse can they actually prevent him from posting on his social network?

I am sure that the judge in the case will want Donald Trump to keep quiet during his trial for fear of hm speaking and having his followers try to disrupt the proceedings.

Who knows what will happen. We are quickly becoming a banana republic with a kangaroo court. What the judge SHOULD do is immediately toss this out. The whole thing is political theater and has nothing to do with crimes and everything to do with politics, and frankly, evil intent and abuse of power by the Manhattan DA.

@TheHorse He also had the National Enquire in his pocket to block negative stores about him and that Stormy Daniels case in particular. He also paid another lady off forget her name, think she was a playboy model or something. He paid her 150,000, 20,000 more than Stormy Daniels. Micheal Cohen received over 400,000 in reimbursement so they could make it look like it was just some kind of bonus to him. He did it all in the white house too as far as the payments. . All perfectly legal I tell you.

I am not sure he would abide by it, even if they do give him one. He will find a way.

He could face jail time for "contempt of court" if he does not follow a gag order.

It would certainly dampen the "attack and delay" strategy that is his hallmark.

Many media outlets I have read locally and abroad implied that he might be given a gag order. This would also be for the benefit of many because he could no longer "incite" his followers if ever a verdict is reached.

But wouldn't the gag order end once a verdict is reached? Perhaps not. There would be a "sentencing phase" of the trial.

@Jenaisle Right. But our justice system cannot be "held hostage" by the possibility of unruly mobs.

I do not think it will be next week, but at some point he will get a gag order. Trump has no self discipline. He is doing one smart thing if that is how people view it. He is having other people say want he wants to say, like using his sons. They already posted a picture of the judges daughter.

I did do a looong response but deleted it My interest in Trump pretty much ended when he wasn't the President. Now he's just a famous person who, in my opinion, has been dodgy since the 70's

Did he get indicted for something in the 1970s? I just read an article about him, but I was on my first cup of coffee.
