I see lots of people at work sprayed perfume or deodorant, maybe their body stinks. One of my colleagues is too much obsessed with it that you can't stand by him because of the over fragrance of the perfume. I always try to keep a distance from him as sometimes my head pains. Do you like perfumes? How do you deal with such people who carry over deodorant or perfume?

I do not anymore. I used to be able to like them and use them, but these days the smells irritate my skin.

I use deodorants but I do not like perfumes, too strong they become aggressive and annoying.

Well, I wear deodorant, but my deodorant has no perfume in it. It’s simply to combat any kind of odor if I ever get sweaty and my sweat happens to smell. As for perfume, if I’m going out for the day or night I spray one squirt of it on my neck and that is all. I think you’d have to get up close to me to detect anything at all.

I love perfume but one squirt is enough anymore and it’s way over doing it.

Some do overdo the perfume for sure. I think I'd be trying to tell him, especially if it is making your head ache.

thanks Sanjeevji I use perfumes. I live in Calcutta which is hot and humid. There is so much sweat that deodorant does not work that well.

Recently we went to Viraval which is situated in Gujarat near a port and it's a big market for fish everywhere we went there was the smell of fish causing suffocation. It was difficult for us to stay in the open there.

In moderation, yes. I have known a few people who seem to have bathed in the stuff and I want to find a lion to feed when I encounter them.

I love perfumes and don't go out of the house without spraying my earlobes and hair. I prefer unscented deodorant or just a powder scent deodorant.

No perfume/scents for me (that was in my younger days) - I get headaches over strong fragrances too. In most cases for me, it's usually someone walking by . . . so I keep walking in the other direction .

I don't care much for perfumes any more unless they are subtle. Deodorants can be without any smell at all in the US.

I don't wear it. I can't stand heavy fragrances. I don't get a headache, but I want out of the room where the person is. It's really hard when that person uses an elevator as the scent is left behind and doesn't dissipate for several hours.
