My ex's uncle has started painting Adso

While things between my ex-husband and I can get shaky at times (though never hateful or intentionally mean), I have always been on excellent terms with his family from his parents and sister to his many aunts, uncles, and cousins around the country. One of his uncles is a gifted and accomplished painter. He often posts his pieces on Facebook and they are amazing. I had asked him to paint a picture of our cat, SoCo, after he passed away from cancer but that never panned out. In recent months he posted a painting he did of his son's cat. I told him it was wonderful and I'd love for him to paint my cat Adso who has some really beautiful black/gray tabby markings. He said "you're on my list!" and a month or two ago he asked me to select the photo that I wanted him to use. I chose one and sent it along. He just sent me a picture of the painting in its very early stages. It is going to be great! I will be so thrilled to see the finished piece and to hang it here in the apartment.

What a great way to remember your SoCo! It’s good that you get along well with your ex’s family.
