What's for dinner? April 5

What's going on the dinner table tonight? I want to know!
I didn't have lunch today so I was very hungry for dinner when I got back here. I haven't gotten around to actually starting to make it until now, though. I am going to have linguine carbonara which is basically just linguine, cooked bacon, bacon fat, eggs, and loads of ground black pepper. It is a pretty cheap pantry pasta kind of meal since most people always have those ingredients on hand. I am using a cookbook with an interesting story that I will describe in another post.

We're having leftovers for dinner tonight. Two people won't be home since they're at work, and two others are at the movies right now and are probably having hot dogs, so I'm not expecting them to be hungry when they get home. I made far too much chicken Alfredo last night, so there's plenty of that to pull out. I got a free rosemary & sea salt ciabatta loaf from work yesterday and I can make some broccoli, and those will both go well with the pasta.

Meals on Wheels lunch yesterday was Chicken Picatta. Dinner was a bagel with melted Swiss cheese on it.
