Dana Lambert who is a resident of Phoenix Arizona who was a former firefighter was in the right place at the right time on Wednesday morning when he assisted a neighbor who saw a house fire that had a seven year old female child and a female 13 year old child who were inside the home and a puppy inside whose gender was not mentioned. Dana acted on his training as a former firefighter by breaking the window of the front door of the home. Dana then entered through the front window and entered the home to rescue the puppy and the two girls who were inside the burning home. The neighbor of the two girls was going to take the girls to school since their parents were not home at the time where the fire began. Thanks to the actions of Dana, no one was hurt in the fire. The girls and their puppy were reunited with their parents. The Phoenix firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly before the fire could spread to the surrounding buildings. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the authorities. Link is foxphoenix.com/news/retired-f...

I do love these in the right place at the right time stories. I wonder why the parents weren't home.

I guess the parents were probably running late from their current jobs working the graveyard shift.

Glad he was able to save them. I have a feeling the girls did something they should not have done, Personally in cases like this I think the parents should have brought them to the neighbors before they left,

You have a good point there that the parents should have brought their children to the neighbors before they were left home.

Even though he's retired, his work is never done. Once a hero, still a hero

That is very true that firefighters as well as police officers need to be alert at all times. Dana is indeed a hero.
