Update: We have power!!!
We had quite the freezing rain and winds on Wednesday. So many people in Montreal lost power. Including us.
My mother in law got her power back yesterday which is good. The boutique where I work has power.
We still don't have power at home. I know quite a few people are still without power.
I'm really hoping that we get power today. But at least my mother in law does and worse case we can see her to warm up and charge phones and such.

Wow, that sounds like it was quite a storm. I hope your power has returned by now, especially if it's still cold there.
We had some violent thunderstorms come through our area last night (thankfully, just a few miles west of where I live). I didn't get hit with any rain, thunder or lightning, but the wind was terrible. There were a few times where the wind was blowing so hard I thought it was a tornado!

@moffittjc Yeah it definitely sounds like it. I don't think we've gotten that kind of rain.

@dodo19 Ft Lauderdale just had a storm that was quite a newsmaker. They received so much rain in a period of 24 hours that they had to shut down the airport due to the flooding. They called it a "once-in-a-lifetime" storm.

I hope your power wasn't off too long. The longest we have been without heat was 5 days; and I thought that I turned into an ice cube!!! Have a great weekend.

We ran out of power yesterday but is was for a few minutes and the problem was residentially. We are expecting rain today and the rest of the week. I hope it does not affect electricity

Life without power can be challenging. Hope yours gets restored soon. Atleast your mom in law has it and you can use that for a while. Take care.
